Pakistan Capable of Occupying “The Last Trench”!

This is a Pakpotpourri Exclusive

“The Nuclear One”

Jawad Raza Khan

Mission given to US media by Pentagon is brief, and crisp; let’s not give Pakistan any breathing space. Chains of stories oozing out of NYT (New York Times) and WSJ (Wall Street Journal) on the pretext of free media in on with full swing, US media is zeroing on Pakistan’s center of gravity The Nukes. By now, Pakistan is seen as an isolated nation filled with problems and about to fail, horrendously with nukes unaccounted for! especially after series of GHQ – Pentagon debacle stories. It definitely triggered with the incident of Raymond Davis and after playing its qualifying rounds through OBL and Mehran base is on the brink of a Great Divorce. Recent statement from the media manager of Pakistan Army with regards to American military aid to fight WOT could be a turning point of this unexplainable friendly relation between US and Pakistan.

On one hand, Pakistan has suffered loss of billions of dollars with scores of human lives perishing each day, even more than NATO forces operating in Afghanistan, which are comprised of more than 47 nations of the world. Concurrently, in the backdrop Machiavelli’s notion for the nukes of Pakistan, US President after bribe ring a section of Pakistani media through Kerry Lugar bill have launched a decisive campaign against its nuclear assets. This reminds me a joke………………….

Taking his seat in his chambers, the judge faced the opposing lawyers. “So,” he said, “I have been presented, by both of you, with a bribe.”  Both lawyers squirmed uncomfortably. “You, attorney Leon, gave me $15,000. And you, attorney Campos, gave me $10,000.” The judge reached into his pocket and pulled out a check. He handed it to Leon … “Now then, I’m returning $5,000, and we’re going to decide this case solely on its merits.”

It is just to point out Attorney Leon (Pakistani Media) must understand that the Judge (US) has its own priorities and aims. Attorney Leon must recognize that building American perception at the cost of own interest is a fatal course of action. The resolute people of Pakistan are now capable enough to differentiate between the Good and Evil, media now has to prove its loyalty to Pakistan not to any foreign power even in the name of regional and cultural similarities.

Just to hint our sacred media about Nuclear Whistle Blowers around the globe, My Dear Pakistani media just Google a name Mr Mordechai Vanunu, you can fetch a great story apart of Dr Qadeer Khan’s engineered dilemma and related cooked up stuff against the Pakistan’s nuclear program.

According to Nuclear Weapons Archive website, “the most specific and detailed information to be made public about Israel’s nuclear program came from a former mid-level nuclear technician named Mordechai Vanunu. Vanunu had worked at the Machon 2 facility, where plutonium is produced and bomb components fabricated, for 9 years before his increasing involvement in left wing pro-Palestinian politics led to his dismissal in 1986. Due to a grave internal security lapse, prior to his departure he managed to take about 60 photographs covering nearly every part of Machon 2.”

He made contact with the London Sunday Times and began to write an exclusive story about the details of Israel’s nuclear program. Unfortunately for Vanunu, “the Israeli government had found out about his activities and the Mossad arranged to kidnap him and bring him back to Israel for trial,” the report added.

Vanunu spent 18 years in prison, including more than 11 in solitary confinement. Released from prison in 2004, he became subject to a broad array of restrictions on his speech and movement. Since then he has been arrested several times for violations of those restrictions, including giving various interviews to foreign journalists and attempting to leave Israel. He says he suffered “cruel and barbaric treatment” at the hands of Israeli authorities while imprisoned, and suggests that his treatment would have been different if he were Jewish (Vanunu is a Christian convert from Judaism).

Some of the famous quotes of Vanunu are:

  • The main points were: one, the amount of Israel’s nuclear weapons, how many Israel had, that no one could predict or know, including the CIA. They were thinking about a number like 10 or 15. But I came out with a number between 150 to 200.
  • I couldn’t sleep for two years; they tried to break my nerves. They used a lot of psychology to brainwash.

It is just a food for thought for you media sir, you can find a lot more on these type of nuclear whistle blowing far more ferocious and dangerous for world peace than Pakistan’s Nuclear program.

It is also a very sour fact for the enemies of Pakistan, that people of Pakistan recognizes the importance of this program in relation to the survival of this nation. Most of them relates it to the battle of trenches Ghazwae Khandaq as prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him) and his companions used the trench tactics (when outnumbered) first time in Muslim history of warfare as an impassable obstacle, locking the two sides in a stalemate. The well-organized defenders, the sinking of allied morale against the forces Muhammad (Peace Be upon him), and poor weather conditions caused the siege to end in a fiasco……

That’s what will be the fate of enemies of encircled Pakistan with its last trench a nuclear one! so impassable.

With last trench in the backdrop, the situation cannot remain same for a longer period of time and that’s the reason, strategic siege of Pakistan is looking to be in its dying moments – agendas have been distorted – disappointment of the enemy is at the highest note – This is indeed a real test for all Pakistanis – They gave sweat and blood both, so much, that it is difficult to quantify even. The siege is enforced on all fronts; politically; economically; culturally; geo-strategically and above all militarily. East and west, north and south, all odds for Pakistan has really shaped Pakistanis into a one of the toughest surviving creatures on the planet.                                                                                                                                                                                           THE WRITER IS A POLITICAL COMMENTATOR BASED IN ISLAMABAD

    Jawad saheb:

There are many people in the media and Americans who want Pakistanis to believe:

-Pakistan does not face any threat from India
    – Pakistan does not need any nukes for its defence

    – India’s program is China centric and Pakistan should not worry about that.

    – Pakistan should attack Talibans who are fighting against US occupation because US is paying for it.

Although Pakistan has suffered a great deal and in fact helped US in controlling Alqaida but all sacrifices end up in do more.

So for them everything is justified.

If Pak Nukes were such a threat for USA, why …
    .
    * … India, a lot backwards country than USA would have amassed her Troops at Pak Borders with intention to teach a lesson to Pak Military twice already?
    * … Pak PM had to rush to Washington begging Clinton to stop India from attacking and had agreed to pull-out Pak Troops from Kargil in disgrace in 1999?
    * … Pres. Musharraf had to agree to stop infiltrating JehaaDis in to Jummo Kashmir as India ordered before she decided not to attack Pak Army in 2003?
    .
Pak Nukes are like Loaded Pistol in hand of an Imbecile. They are more dangerous to Pakistanis than they are for any other country because Pak Establishment never learned anything from fall of Dkhaka and is treating Non Punjabis just like it was treating Bengalis.
Bombs were not developed to conquer Kashmir or defend Pakistan because India never had any intentions to conquer Pakistan and make it become a part of it. They were built to deter India from causing another 1971 but has India been really deterred?
You can keep fooling around with USA and USA would never retaliate because of your Nukes?
You must live in a Dreamworld. Obama speaks Urdu, loves Pakistani Cousin and loves Pakistan. This is why he has been giving more and more chances to you so you can straighten out your act. If Bush Jr. was still in power, he would have already nuked Pakistan. Stop yelling ‘Aa Bail moJHay maar …!’ because playing this game too long would tire Obama and USA may not stop India from attacking you for the 5th time (1965, 1971, 1999 and 2003), Morons …!
China had done nothing all 4 last time besides issuing ‘feel good’ statements and it would repeat the same because its not Chinese Policy to intervene for any country, not even for its own Taiwan less than a couple of hundreds miles away from its shore. Has not China told Gilani in his recent visit to ‘resolve your issues with India …!’, when he had asked a Defense Pact at least against India?
I have never found any crazy Nation like Pakistan. You people one of their own kind in this world. Believe or not.

We, Pakistanis, will survive as a nation. Thank God for our armed forces and of course the ‘nukes’. Although, we really need to watch out for our leaders who might sell us out.

The public has to get up and take the media to task on all sensitive matters. We should start a campaign to drum into the media a sense of responsibility to it’s own brethren and blood of Pakistan. We should learn from the onslaught of moms in the UK,on the media particularly on NOTW tabloid, which forced Rupert Murdoch to close-down the publication.Such counter-moves have shaken the media there and put them on the back-foot. The tables have turned from media-public to public-media.
Unfortunately,in Pakistan,we love to see the underdog being kicked around. This is our national trait. And when the media takes on the issue in it’s persecuting style,it is lauded by the classes who matter. This is sad.Instead of putting the media back into its boots,we are willing to be kicked around with the same boot, because we believe them as they are the media and are speaking sense.
This has to turn around.180 Degrees.
We do not intend to censor or suppress the media. Our effort should be to convince them not to exacerbate the already volatile scenario Pakistan is going through.Instead, they should make all out effort to dispel all negative forces trying to destabilize Pakistan.Specially, when the Armed Forces/ISI are concerned.
I was in Lahore last week and came across a TV channel executive with whom I chatted for a while.I told him that in most talk shows, very senior and experienced people are on the discussion panel, while the moderator is a youngster or definitely without the insight and knowledge of the people in front of him,it did not make sense. Also,at times the moderator is at a loss of words and how to continue a diligent, intelligent and purposeful discussion.
I was shocked to hear that most private TV channel owners are least pushed of what the public wants.Instead, they have their own agendas.Qualifications of moderators does not bother them.Even if it will have a blow-back by the establishment. This attitude can only be adopted if there is a force and support behind to cover and provide security if any negative fallout from the coverage takes place.
The slogan,in times of crisis should be,”media is the first line of defense”.

    Nadeem Kausar Ji.
You said it all, watch out for our leaders, they would go for the highest bidder, before,
you and wink our eyes. For them, no love lost as far as Pakistan is concerned. They lived
happily abroad and they could and would do it again, without any regret nor any remorse.

An excellent article. If seen in a larger perspective, Pakistan seems as a last hope. But are we ready to tie stones with our bellies to resist starvation. Would Zardari and Sharifs Particularly Maulana Saab with his good health go to that end? Public is already ready for any eventuality.

There are amazing things happening. Just an example; if anyone of you have watched Capital Talk yesterday. Imagine Hamid Mir giving an introduction. He say that. “the DG ISI Gen Ahmed Shuja Pasha has gone on a days visit to US’, in the same breath he also say; “And today there were three blasts in Mumbai” India is not saying it, but Hamid Mir is spoon feeding them. He should be dragged in the court on this very statement, what did he mean by giving this statement in such a malicious manner. It clearly implies he was linking his visit to Mumbai blast.

No way Sir. It seems that the US appointee has different agenda, is not going to be
    healthy for Pakistan.

Neither Nukes nor your leadership can save Pakistan. It’s the ordinary people from Khunjerab to Turbat, from Kuch to Chaman who can, and will, stand up to any group of aggressors because even when their economical and social structures creak, they are not just inimical but thoroughly ready to unhesitatingly fight off any aggression. Duped they can easily be by love and diplomacy, but a clear cut aggression will arouse them from their apathy.

There are a number of factors which must be taken under contemplation concerning malignant external forces that have carefully engineered and launched this erroneous propaganda tending to produce death to Pakistan to achieve their political and religious agenda.

Sure enough the writer has rightly pointed out curry favored local media as one of the essential elements contributing to systematic course of aggressive activities for specific purpose.
